Description

1. Night comes after the day.
2. The night is bright when the moon is shining.

‘Night’ as the time period devoid of sunshine, opposed to ‘day’. Not to be confused with adverbial temporal usage (‘by night’, ‘nightly’), if such forms are represented by a different root. (Kassian et al. 2010)
