Description

1. He put the shoe on his foot.

Denoting the part of the leg below the ankle joint. In many languages, “leg” and “foot” are either not distinguished at all, and the particular meaning “foot” is translated as “smth. of the leg”, e.g., “head of leg”, “end of leg”, etc. In these cases, the “leg” root is still carrying the bulk of the meaning.
