MW daly, dala 'hold', OBret. delgim, delgu [Is Pres.] (Banassac) and perhaps Olr. coindelg 'contract, comparison' < *kom-delgo- (cf. also W cynnal 'maintain'); a deverbal nominal stem (*delgo-) is probably preserved in OBret. dalg (MoBret. dalc'h) 'maintenance, tenure'.
