Pages: View Buck (1949:287) compares forms related to Skt. dhvān- 'dark', however the internal structure of the Greek derivatives θάνατος, θνῄσκω must be accounted for in terms of preforms *dʰn̥h₂-eto-, *dʰn̥h₂-sk̑e/o- respectively, thus LIV² reconstructs *dʰenh₂-.
